Are you familiar with our “Fast Fire” option? Some applications require rapid heating; for example in the testing of thermal protection materials. Those materials might be as familiar as drywall, or they could be exotic products meant to withstand reentry to the earth’s atmosphere. Fast firing is possible through the use of extra heating elements, as well as firing the elements at 100 percent of their rating.
Top hat, bottom load, and front-loading furnaces can all be supplied with the fast fire option, and the custom features needed for a given application. For example, we created our “dual door” front load design for a gypsum testing process. Closing the standard door allows for normal furnace operation. Use of the second door allows one side of the test material to heat rapidly, while the other side is exposed to cold air, to simulate actual conditions.
Our control systems can also incorporate custom features such as data logging and remote operation. Every system is certified by Intertek UL 508A compliant.
Both laboratory and production scale furnaces can include fast fire features. And as always, Deltech can deliver on entirely bespoke systems. Contact our sales/engineering team to start a discussion of your particular process requirements.
