CCAC Conference a Success

 

We received a lovely note from Colorado School of Mines student, Brooke Downing. Here is what she said about the conference and Deltech’s contribution:

“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for Deltech’s sponsorship of the 2025 CCAC Conference!

 

 

As we welcomed the returning community of students, faculty, national labs, and industry partners to the 2025 CCAC Conference, we’ve also expanded our network to reach more of the local ceramics community. Once again, we’ve broken the record that we’ve set last year by having 109 registrants this year! This year, we’ve also introduced a new segment to the conference where students could submit a figure to challenge their abilities to communicate big scientific ideas using only one graphic. 

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Celia Chari, shared her experience working in the field of arts through the lens of materials science – bridging the gap between art and science. We also welcomed invited speakers Dr. Michael Hill from Trans-Tech, Professor Chris Weinberger from Colorado State University, Dr. Samuel Marks from CU Boulder & Dr. Lance M. Wheeler from NREL. And as always, the conference included contributed student talks from a variety of institutions, a banquet event for attendees to network, and a poster session. 

 

We just wanted to reiterate that this is a fully student-run conference, and none of the aforementioned events could have taken place without your support. So once again, thank you for your generosity! “
