Need troubleshooting assistance?

Deltech Furnaces offers several ways for you to get assistance in troubleshooting your system.

  1. Send an email to sales@deltechfurnaces.com. If appropriate, send photos and/or videos which shed light on the problem at hand.
  2. Check out the video tutorials on our website that explain how to identify a broken element. The most common reason for a furnace failing to heat is element failure. The videos include information on how to safely identify a broken element and how to safely replace it.
  3. Our engineers can remote into your Control Concepts power controller to perform diagnostics.
  4. Our newest HMI systems include a remote gateway that allows remote programming, data collection, and troubleshooting from anywhere. (Note that the gateway module requires internet use. It cannot be installed and used on secure systems.)
  5. Check out the other tutorials on our website.

Tips on common issues:

Since a broken element is the most common cause of furnace failure, start your diagnostic process there by viewing the appropriate video tutorial and following the instructions given.

If you see a “sensor break” message on the screen of your temperature controller or limit controller, the connected thermocouple has failed. This could be the result of a loose wire at the terminal or a broken wire inside the thermocouple protection tube.

Do you see arcing at the top of the elements? This is a sign of a loose connection between the element and the buss bar or braid. Tightening the bolts on the straps or buss bars will often correct the problem.
