Ceramic and Glass Career Center

Recently I asked Belinda Raines MTS, the Outreach Director of the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation, about the Ceramic and Glass Career Center. The Career Center is one of many efforts being made by the American Ceramic Society through the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation to connect industry students and professionals to employment opportunities. Here’s what she told me:

“We’re doing our best to keep the Ceramic and Glass Career Center name in front of Corporate Members and to encourage them to use the site when looking to fill positions.  Basically what I tell folks is that The American Ceramic Society and The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation created the Ceramic and Glass Career Center, which is the premiere online resource for matching talented, qualified job and internship seekers with the best career opportunities at leading organizations in the ceramic and glass industry.  The Career Center website provides a user-friendly interface and easy-to-navigate career search tool that helps job seekers zero in on the right opportunities for them.  Companies and organizations can take advantage of the site’s straightforward platform to post comprehensive job descriptions to ensure they’re targeting and attracting the right candidates.  This valuable tool is free to all job and internship seekers, and ACerS Corporate Members can post unlimited job listings and internships for no charge.  (Non-members can post job listings for $100 each; there is no charge to post internship opportunities).”

Click here to link to this great resource. I visited today and found numerous job listings from Corning, Inc.  for technicians, engineers, and business professionals, and these were just the listings on the first page! Plainly this site is on everyone’s radar; get it on yours and  find a great job, internship, or amazing new member of your team. And just a reminder that there is no charge to those looking for job and internship opportunities, no charge for American Ceramic Society corporate members, and just $100 for non-members, which means every other employer, everywhere. Ask your human resources director when they were last able to post a full job description viewed by thousands for a $100 fee.
